Chris Evans (Captain America) reveals what his favorite MCU movie is
Chris Evans, Captain America himself, has revealed what he thinks was his best experience during his time with Marvel Studios
Chris Evans went on record to say that making a superhero movie is not that easy, because according to him, “If it was easier, there would be a lot more good ones.” But its true that their quality has been on a decline. His character in the MCU, Captain America, has been one of the best treated in Marvel, since both his solo films and those in which he is a part, such as ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’, are among the best valued. But which one is his favorite?
Evans, who has never ruled out his return as the character, at least under the right circumstances, is clear:’Captain America: The Winter Soldier’.
“It’s my personal favorite Marvel movie that I was a part of,” Evans said to Variety. “It’s not just for the movie itself but the experience. The first film, I was so nervous. You know what you’re stepping into and as a result you’re playing defense and you’re playing not to lose. When ‘Winter Solider’ came around, we were playing to win. And it’s the first movie with the Russo Brothers. We were taking more risks, and the character felt more fleshed out. It was one of the more satisfying experiences I’ve had in my Marvel run.”
What does the future hold for Captain America?
After Evans’ departure, it will be Sam Wilson who takes over the mantle. Anthony Mackie, who until now played the role of Falcon, and who precisely starred in his own series alongside the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) will be the one to carry the emblematic shield from now on. His first solo appearance will be in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ -previously known as ‘Captain America: New World Order’ -, alongside Harrison Ford, although he could well make a cameo in any other Marvel series or film.
