Diablo IV reveals The Age of Hatred, its 2025 roadmap, and previews its expansion
The Age of Hatred sets the roadmap for Diablo IV in 2025 with new Seasons, special content and the anticipated return of Belial.

Sanctuary adventurers have every reason to keep coming back to Diablo IV. This morning, Blizzard revealed its roadmap for all of 2025, titled The Age of Hatred, with four seasons that promise to keep the chaos and darkness at the highest level. In addition to the usual content, the big news is the return of Belial, Lord of Lies, one of the saga’s most beloved (and hated) villains.
Welcome to the Diablo IV Age of Hatred
Blizzard shared an image with all the content that will arrive during the year. This is how the calendar is divided into seasons:

The first season, called Witchcraft, begins the year (January to April) with devastating powers, headhunts, a new armory, and even a raven mascot. Belial’s Return (scheduled from April to July) is the next season, with Apparition Incursions, a new collaboration to be defined, as well as the 2nd anniversary celebration.
For the second half, Sins of the Horadrim (from July to September) will have players in new Nightmare Dungeon activities, Horadric Powers as well as the arrival of keyboard and mouse support on consoles. Finally, Infernal Chaos (September to December) will prepare us with case powers, a new collaboration to be defined and the Infernal Hordes update.
A year to prepare for the second Diablo IV expansion
After the arrival of Vessel of Hatred in 2024, Blizzard is already preparing what will be the new Diablo IV expansion. There are no concrete details or release window yet, but it is expected that as the Age of Hatred progresses, clues will be revealed about the new playable class and the challenges that await players in 2026.
