Capcom has announced their plans for an upcoming Dragon’s Dogma 2 patch that seeks to fix a wide variety of issues in the game, like Pawns jumping off cliffs.

Update:
Dragons Dogma 2 PS5 Xbox Series PC análisis nota

Dragon’s Dogma 2 has been an extremely divisive game ever since it released back in March, with many criticizing its performance issues, while many more enjoy its dynamic gameplay systems and unorthodox design choices. But something that can’t be denied is that the game still needs some work to become the best version of itself it can be. Thankfully, Capcom has announced an upcoming patch that aims to bring balance to a certain in-game illness, as well as fix many Pawn behaviors.

The announcement was made through the franchise’s official Twitter/X account, where it was revealed that the developers plan to release a patch with many adjustments and fixes. And we won’t have to find out later on what it is that’ll be adjusted in the game, as they went into quite a bit of detail about what they’re working on.

What is changing with the upcoming Dragon’s Dogma 2 patch?

This new update for the game, set to release before the end of April 2024, focuses on modifying a few aspects about Dragonsplague, the Pawn sickness that is transmitted through hiring infected companions and that would result in rebellious and unresponsive members of your party, and even in the death of entire cities should you rest at an inn while one of your current pawns is infected. Now, the risk of infection has been lowered and certain symptoms have been made more noticeable so players can better respond to the malady.

Beyond that Capcom is making some tweaks to the Pawns’ AI behavior to help them stop falling off cliffs so often, as well as adjusting the rate at which they repeat certain lines of dialog, and their accuracy depending to the situation. You can find the complete list of changes promised down below.
