Fable just got a gigantic first trailer full of next-gen graphics and sense of humor

Just as many of us suspected, Fable has been unleashed as one of Microsoft’s big reveals during the Xbox Games Showcase 2023. The reboot of the franchise has made an appearance

Let’s remember that the game is developed by Playground Games, the creators of the Forza Horizon series, who have dared to take a leap of faith and have gone from driving games to the RPG genre. A complicated change that seems to have worked out for them and that claims them as one of the fittest studios on Xbox.

The typical humor the series is known for is back in full force, with a farmer being interviewed about his point of view towards “heroes”. From chicken kicking to monster slaying, you can see a hero making their way through Albion i what has been promised to be actual gameplay footage. Impressive if true, but one could expect amazing graphics from the creators of the Forza Horizon series.

The curse that haunts the Fable series

Oldtimers in the Xbox universe will remember a time when Microsoft did not have Halo, Gears and Forza as a great trident, but to Halo, Gears and Fable. That was the level of importance of the franchise, which also catapulted Peter Molyneux and Lionhead Studios.
