Epic Games has confirmed via social networks the starting date of the next season of Fortnite, its flagship game. Let’s also take a look at everything we know so far about the next season.
When will the new Fortnite season start?
Epic Games has announced the start date of the new season on Fortnite’s official social media: November 3, 2023. Taking into account the information about the end date of Fortnite Season 4 Chapter 4, visible from the game itself, it seems that there will be no delay.
We do not know the exact start time yet, but we will update this information or post this new news so that everything is as clear as possible.
In this post, we can see the first official image of the new season, in which it is announced for the first time in an official media that we will return to Chapter 1 of the game. In addition, the text accompanying the publication serves as a teaser: Sprint (or Mantle, your choice) back to Chapter 1....see you soon 11.3.2023″ also implies that we will be able to use the actions introduced in Chapter 3, such as tactical sprinting and climbing, on the Chapter 1 map.
A hashtag used in the same post is #FortniteOG, which is another hint that Chapter 1 will be back in the upcoming season.
What will happen in the next season of Fortnite?
As we already told you, thanks to the information provided by dataminers and that we were able to confirm ourselves, the next season of Fortnite will basically be a big month-long event on the map of Chapter 1. Here is a summary of everything that will happen:
- Agent Jones has used Kado Thorne’s time machine to travel back in time, but the device will fail, causing the island from Chapter 4 to travel back in time and collide with the island from Chapter 1. We will return to the map from Chapter 1 Season 5, and week by week, areas will be replaced by others from Seasons 6-10 of the same Chapter. This is considered a month-long event, codenamed “Rufus” in the game files.
- This event would begin on November 3, 2023 at 4:00 AM ET and end on December 3, 2023 at 10:00 PM ET.
- The Zero Build game mode will be limited. Only Battle Royale will be playable.
- Some classic weapons and classic weapon models will return.
- The classic Battle Bus will return.
- There will be two mission sets.
- There will be a LEGO collaboration codenamed “Rufus Juno”.
- At the end of this mini-season, the Black Hole will return, taking us to Chapter 5.
