Fortnite’s new V-Bucks prices: what they cost and how to get them

Starting today, October 27, 2023, Fortnite players who purchase V-Bucks will find themselves paying a bit more for the virtual currency.

V-Bucks new prices in Fortnite starting today

As Epic Games announced a month ago, V-Bucks prices will be updated in several countries around the world, including the United States (including all storefronts with prices in USD), Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary, Japan, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Turkey, and all Eurozone countries. This price adjustment follows a recent price increase in other countries such as Mexico, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

According to Epic Games, “these adjustments are based on economic factors such as inflation and currency fluctuations,” as stated in the announcement of this increase last month. “Fortnite Crew subscription pricing is not impacted by these change.”

What are V-Bucks in Fortnite?

V-Bucks are a virtual currency used in Fortnite to buy cosmetic items like outfits or the Battle Pass. Their use is not “mandatory” to enjoy the game, but if we want to buy most things in the Fortnite store, we have to buy V-Bucks with our local currency.

How to redeem V-Bucks card codes in Fortnite

To redeem V-Bucks card codes in Fortnite, we have to go to this section of the Epic Games website, and log in with our Epic/Fortnite account.

Once this is done, select the option “Have A Code For V-Bucks? Go Here To Redeem”. This will open a new section where we have to follow the steps: we have to enter the V-Bucks code, and on which platform we play Fortnite Battle Royale.
