Ghost of Yotei: date, time, and how to watch the next big PS5 exclusive’s State of Play
Sucker Punch’s highly anticipated follow-up to Ghost of Tsushima gets its first gameplay reveal this week.
Fresh off the release of Death Stranding 2, PlayStation is already gearing up for its next major exclusive: Ghost of Yotei. Developed by Sucker Punch, the studio behind Ghost of Tsushima, this new open-world action game will take center stage during a dedicated State of Play on Thursday, July 10.
When and where to watch the Ghost of Yotei State of Play
The showcase will stream live on PlayStation’s official Twitch and YouTube channels and will feature 20 minutes of real-time gameplay, presented by creative directors Nate Fox and Jason Connell.

This marks the official start of the game’s marketing campaign, which will culminate in its October 2, 2025 release, exclusively on PlayStation 5.
What is Ghost of Yotei about?
Set in early 17th-century Japan, Ghost of Yotei follows Atsu, a lone warrior on a path of vengeance. Players will hunt down the six warlords of Yotei in any order they choose, with a world that reacts dynamically to their actions.

- Set up camps to heal and prepare
- Explore freely across a living, reactive world
- Survive hostile environments and ambushes from enemies hunting you down
Sucker Punch promises more freedom and variety than ever before, building on the legacy of Ghost of Tsushima with deeper systems and a darker, more personal story.
