God of War Ragnarok PC release announcement is imminent

A well-known insider highlights the arrival on PC of the sequel to Sony Santa Monica’s great game.

God of War Ragnarok has been one of the most prominent PlayStation games in recent times, and as it approaches two years since its release, its arrival on PC could be very close. This has been highlighted by insider billbil-kun on X (Twitter), posting that the announcement of the game’s PC release date is imminent.

“God of War Ragnarok is one of the next PlayStation exclusives to be ported to PC. The announcement date is imminent,” says billbil-kun. The insider has written about this information in the Dealabs website, referring to the interview that the French YouTuber Julien Chièze conducted with Hermen Hulst, the head of PlayStation Studios, in which he confirmed that there will be at least one year between the release of games on consoles and PC.

The expected arrival of God of War Ragnarok on PC

God of War Ragnarok was released on consoles on November 9, 2022, so by the time the game arrives on PC, two years may have passed since its release. When could it be announced? It could appear at PlayStation Showcase 2024, there is also a rumor that there will be one in May of this year, although many fans may not like using such a high-profile event to announce a port. We’ll just have to wait and see, but all indications are that we’ll soon know when Ragnarok is coming to PC.

In the review of God of War Ragnarok by our colleagues in Spain, they pointed out that “it is the clearest example of how a sequel to a successful game should be approached: it is not only more and better, but it is a title that does not tremble when it comes to making important decisions and getting most of them right”.

For now, we have in the future the upcoming arrival of Ghost of Tsushima for PC next week.
