GTA 6 unveils its cover art and announces its pre-order date. It’s clear that the hype is real

Rockstar Games sets the stage for GTA 6’s November 19 launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Update:

Grand Theft Auto VI arrives this year, and for anyone who still had doubts about another potential delay, Rockstar Games has delivered a clear message. The studio has officially revealed the game’s cover art and confirmed when pre-orders for the long-awaited title will begin. One thing is certain: the hype is real, and this year we are heading back to Vice City.

Through its social media channels, Rockstar Games shared a short teaser showcasing the highly anticipated cover. The franchise’s classic tone—present since Grand Theft Auto III—is reflected in the panel-style artwork that offers a glimpse of what Vice City has in store. Alongside the reveal, Rockstar announced that pre-orders will open on June 25 through digital storefronts and select retailers.

The wait for GTA 6 is almost over

After several years of anticipation—dating back to when Rockstar officially confirmed the project—fans have endured the studio’s trademark delays and long gaps between trailers (we are still waiting on a new one). Now, however, the finish line finally feels within reach, and the release of Grand Theft Auto VI feels tangible in a way it never quite did before.

There is still one major—and somewhat uncomfortable—question left to answer: the price. Speculation suggests the game could launch at around $100, a figure often cited as a way to offset its massive development costs. That uncertainty should be resolved on June 25, when pre-orders go live and official pricing is revealed.
