Henry Cavill’s James Bond audition video has surfaced, and it’s awesome
Although he did not do badly and the director of ‘Casino Royale’ complimented him on several occasions, it seems that his young age was one of the main reasons that prevented him from getting the role.
There are moments that change your destiny forever. It happens in life as well as in work, because a detail as simple as age, physical appearance or a mistake in speech can drastically change everything that is to come. Just tell that to Henry Cavill, the popular actor of ‘Superman’ and ‘The Witcher’ on Netflix, who could have been James Bond in one of the best films in the history of 007, ‘Casino Royale’.
That he did the audition was already known as the film’s director, Martin Campbell, said a few years ago that his work was fantastic and praised his fitness and physical appearance, saying that “if Daniel [Craig] didn’t exist, Henry would have made an excellent Bond”. What we didn’t know, and what surprised everyone, is that the video of the test has come to light, so we can see the full audition. Here is the seven minutes video. It does not have too much quality as it is recorded on VHS and was found in a recycling plant, according to various sources, but you can see everything perfectly.
