Hogwarts Legacy 2 is in development, according to a well-known insider

The Switch version has yet to be released, but the success of the other versions already hinted at a sequel.

Update:
Hogwarts Legacy 2 is in development, according to a well-known insider

There is no official confirmation from Warner Bros. Games, although the excellent sales of Hogwarts Legacy leave little room for doubt. In anticipation of an announcement from the company in due course, insider MyTimeToShineH has hinted that the next installment is already in the works: “Sources confirmed that a Hogwarts Legacy sequel is in the works.”

Avalanche Software, the studio behind the video game, recently posted a job opening that did not specify the title of its next project. However, it did specify that the candidate must be proficient in the use of graphics engines, preferably Unreal Engine 4, the technology used to create Hogwarts Legacy. It should be noted that the Nintendo Switch version has been delayed several times and will not be released until November, so the offer may not necessarily be related to the sequel.

Will there be Hogwarts Legacy DLC?

Warner Bros. Avalanche has no plans, or at least that’s what they assured during the launch. “We’ve been really heads down bringing [Hogwarts Legacy] to life,” he said, “so at the moment, there are no current plans for DLC.” The door has not been slammed shut, although no additional content has been added or announced since the game’s launch in February.

David Habbad, President of Warner Bros. Games, celebrated the commercial success of the game and was elated: “We are so thrilled and proud to see the player response to Hogwarts Legacy from gamers, fans who are new to gaming and reviewers around the world. Our development team at Avalanche delivered an amazing, high-quality Wizarding World experience that truly fulfills the fan fantasy of life at Hogwarts and our publishing teams have executed a globally impactful launch campaign.”

Hogwarts Legacy is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. Barring any further delays, the native Nintendo Switch version will be making magic from November 14th.
