Star Wars

How did Ahsoka survive Order 66 and why did she abandon the Jedi Order?

Ahsoka was Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice and took part in the Clone Wars, so how did she survive Palpatine’s Order 66?

Update:
Star Wars Ahsoka

The last two episodes of the seventh season of The Clone Wars are interspersed with Revenge of the Sith. The narrative takes place in parallel to the fall of the Republic, at which time Palpatine takes the opportunity to deploy his master plan and issue Order 66. Ahsoka Tano, former apprentice of Anakin Skywalker, had already abandoned Jedi order long ago, but what happened when the purge of the Jedi started?

After the Siege of Mandalore, Ahsoka managed to capture Maul, possessor of the Dark Saber and therefore legitimate leader of the Mandalorians. Ahsoka and the 501st Legion head to Coruscant to deliver the criminal, but at that moment Darth Sidious’s voice resounds: “Execute Order 66″. Her clone friend Rex and the rest of the soldiers betray her... not of their own free will.

Did Anakin save Ahsoka from Order 66?

As seen in The Jedi Chronicles short film series (6 episodes available on Disney+), Anakin taught his padawan how to survive a whole troop of soldiers.

The Togruta replays the teachings of her teacher and takes down all the clones with a series of fast and precise movements. Later, he discovers that the clones have an inhibitor chip in their heads. For this reason, Rex, one of her best friends, also turns against her, but manages to remove the chip and save her life.

We said that Ahsoka Tano left the Jedi Order years before. In the sixth season of The Clone Wars, they accuse the padawan of orchestrating a bombing in the hangar of the Jedi Temple. As a result, several people died and suspicion fell on Ahsoka. Admiral Tarkin petitioned the Jedi Council to expel the young woman so that she could be tried before the Senate, to which the masters agreed. When it was discovered that she was innocent, they offered her to return, but Ahsoka was disappointed and decided to leave.

Anakin Skywalker, the only one who trusted her innocence and who investigated on his own to prove it, tried to convince her, but it was already too late.
