How to get Madden NFL 24 early access: when it starts, when it ends

Want to get into Madden NFL 24 before most people? We’ll tell you all you need to know about its early access period.

Update:
Madden NFL 24

Finally, after months of teases, previews and updates, Madden NFL 24 will be released later this week, and some lucky players have already managed to start playing before the others through early access. For those who can’t wait a single day more, here’s how you can get into it, how long it’ll last, and all you need to know.

Madden NFL 24 release date

As announced earlier this year, Madden NFL 24 will launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC on August 18th. The next-generation version will take advantage of new technologies and enhancements developed by the studio after its experience with FieldSENSE, along with other features such as cross-play and the 3v3 online mode, Superstar Showdown.

EA Sports is usually more discreet with special editions and tends to have only 2, unlike the NBA 2K series, and the format continues. This time we have Madden NFL 24 Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition. The former will arrive with a price tag of $69.99 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, while the Deluxe Edition comes at $99.99. Both editions feature Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen as the cover athlete.

However, one of the pre-order bonuses of the Deluxe Edition is the aforementioned Early Access, so if you want to start playing right now you’ll have to purchase that.

Madden NFL 24 early access

There are two ways to get early access to Madden NFL 24. First, as mentioned above, those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will have 3 days of early access and will be able to play starting August 15, 2023. The second option is through an EA Play or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, although this one comes with a twist as the early access will only grant a 10-hour trial of the game.

EA Play subscribers will be able to download this 10-hour trial through the service, and while it’s limited in time, it includes access to the whole game, so your progress can be kept if when you choose to get the full game. It’s important to note that you only need a Standard EA Play subscription to get the trial, but the EA Play Pro tier members do get to play the full game from August 15 thanks to their benefits.
