How to use Zelda Notes and Autobuild Sharing in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for Nintendo Switch 2
The new Tears of the Kingdom edition, along with the Zelda Notes app, will boost creativity and community interaction.

The Legend of Zelda editions for Nintendo Switch 2 not only feature improvements in loading times and visual quality, but also integrate tools that further enrich the gaming experience. One of the main new features is Zelda Notes, an additional function within the Nintendo Switch app for smartphones. This connects directly to your game and extends the experience with access to an interactive map, character memories in the places you visit, statistics, daily bonuses and more.
In the specific case of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch 2 Edition includes a very special extra within Zelda Notes: the ability to share and download plans of what we build using QR codes. How to use Autobuild Sharing of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch 2 Edition?
Before we begin, it should be made clear that this option, and Zelda Notes is only available for the Switch 2 Edition of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. so if you do not have this edition already updated, you will not have access.
Activate Zelda Notes
- From the game’s Options menu, find and activate the Zelda Notes feature.
- Make sure you have the Nintendo Switch app installed on your mobile device.
- Sync the app with your Nintendo Switch 2 to start using Zelda Notes.
Upload Autobuld Blueprints
- Get the Autobuild ability- Before sharing, you need to unlock the Autobuild ability within the game.
- Upload your creation - Once you have Autobuild, press the X button to send one of your creations to Zelda Notes.
- Wait for the QR code to be generated - The game will save your creation and automatically generate its QR code.
- Open the Zelda Notes app - Within the app, go to the “My QR Codes” section.
- Share your creation - From there, you can share your QR code through different apps or save it as an image to publish it wherever you want.
How to download Autobuild Blueprints
- Open the Zelda Notes app - Go to the Autobuild Sharing section.
- Scan the QR Code - Click Scan a QR Code, and choose one of the two available options:
- Scan with Camera
- Scan from Image
- View the schematic - Once the code is scanned, the design will appear within the app in the appropriate section.
- Transfer the schematic to the game - Select the blueprint and tap Send to Game while you have Tears of the Kingdom open.
- Build in the game - Once in the game, press the + button to review the schematic and get started!
