Insomniac Games wants Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to be “the best game we’ve ever made”

The narrative director is clear: Expectations for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 are sky-high.

Insomniac Games is responsible for being in charge of the most important PlayStation 5 exclusive of the present 2023 unless there is a major surprise of something to be announced that we do not expect at this point. We are talking about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which has very high expectations after the successful first installment and its surprising standalone expansion, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. According to its narrative director, Jon Paquette, they are also high at the studio itself.

During a streaming session, Paquette was incredibly blunt about what people at Insomniac are expecting from this game. " we really workin’ hard to try and make sure that this is the best game we’ve ever made and we can’t wait to share it with y’all,” Paquette said.

Spidey, PS5′s great hope for 2023

There is no doubt that Paquette’s statements may sound exaggerated, but with the studio’s track record throughout its history, one would expect nothing less. In addition to the aforementioned games, there is Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which is considered one of the most technically advanced games on Sony’s console.

In fact, Insomniac Games has a track record of exclusives for PlayStation consoles that few studios can boast, maybe Naughty Dog... and no one else. In addition to the games we’ve talked about, there are others like the entire Ratchet & Clank franchise, the Resistance franchise - which disappeared after PS3 - and Spyro The Dragon.

Meanwhile, and although we have spent many months without new concrete information about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the studio has reiterated on numerous occasions that the game will arrive in time for its release this fall, although at the moment the specific date is unknown. It is expected that soon we can enjoy a new gameplay in some state of play of which it will undoubtedly be a great protagonist.
