Mario Kart World doesn’t support 200cc, but Mirror Mode is unlockable: Here’s how
Tracks are reversed in this classic mode, but unlocking it requires completing several challenges.
Mario Kart World does not include 200cc speed at launch, though Nintendo has hinted that it could arrive in a future update. Meanwhile, players can unlock Mirror Mode, which flips tracks for a fresh challenge, but unlike previous entries, unlocking it requires more effort.
How to unlock Mirror Mode
To access Mirror Mode, players must complete the following tasks:
- Finish all 7 Grand Prix at 150cc (winning is not required).
- Complete all Rally Cups (no need to win every race).
- Complete 40 P-Switch missions.
- Collect 10 ‘?’ panels.
- Obtain 10 Peach Medallions.
- Finish the Special Cup at 150cc (victory is not required).
Once the Special Cup is completed, a secret cutscene will play, showing Mario and Luigi witnessing the world flipping. Afterward, Mirror Mode will be available in the game menu.
Mario Kart World launched on June 5th 2025, with the Nintendo Switch 2.
