Microsoft leak reveals Dishonored 3, DOOM Year Zero, Bethesda remasters, and more upcoming games
Confidential documents presented during the FTC v Microsoft hearings have leaked, unleashing all kinds of revelations about the future of Xbox.
Microsoft has been the victim of a massive leak. The tech giant had a legal battle with the FTC, all because of the acquisition process of Activision Blizzard, and yet their victory in the Courts has not prevented some important documents from being leaked to the public, as has happened with the Bethesda release plan, that reveals the existence of unannounced projects. Dishonored 3, remasters of Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion , and DOOM Year Zero are some of the titles that appear in the document.
Note that this list is from 2020, which means the calendar has changed drastically and that the fate of some projects is unclear. For example, Starfield and Redfall appear set for fiscal year 2021, when they actually ended up delayed to this year. The Indiana Jones game, without a confirmed date, then pointed to fiscal year 2022, something that wasn’t fulfilled.
The Elder Scrolls VI, Bethesda’s new production after Starfield, would not respect the date on this calendar either. According to a recent leak, the game is still a long way from launch, since it is not expected to be ready until at least 2026. On the other hand, the list reveals other additional projects, such as the sequel to Ghostwire Tokyo and a new licensed video game.
A new Xbox Series X on the way
Among the leaks of the last few hours is a new Xbox Series that will be 100% digital, will introduce a cylindrical design, hardware optimizations and a controller with haptic technology similar to the PS5′s DualSense. According to the documents (and without official confirmation), Microsoft plans to announce the new system this year, with a launch scheduled for 2024 and at a price of $499. You can read all the information about it through this link.
According to internal documents, the successor to Xbox Series will not go on sale until 2028.
