While Mirio holds the Number One Hero position and Todoroki ranks Number Two, Bakugo is officially the most powerful hero, despite being ranked Number Five on the Hero Billboard Chart. According to the fanbook, Bakugo’s explosive combat skills, adaptability, and sheer battle instinct make him stronger than both Mirio and Todoroki, even though his aggressive personality has kept him from rising higher in the rankings.
Horikoshi describes Bakugo as:
“A boy who aspires to be the number one hero. He has a rough and aggressive personality but a genius talent for fighting. He feels a strong rivalry with his childhood friend Izuku due to his rapid growth, but gradually begins to acknowledge his abilities.”
This revelation has shocked the anime fans, as Bakugo’s raw power and combat intelligence have now been officially recognized as greater than even Mirio’s legendary abilities.
