Update:
Pokémon

The rumors and leaks have been true. Pokémon will be holding a presentation next week, and while details are scarce at the moment, we know we’ll have to wake up early to find out what new Pikachu and company have in store for us.

Through its social media accounts, The Pokémon Company has announced a new edition of Pokémon Presents for August 8, 2023. “The next #PokemonPresents arrives soon, Trainers!” the account reads. “Tune in to our official YouTube channel at 6:00 a.m. PDT on August 8 for 35 minutes of Pokémon news and updates!”

No details have been given as to what might be announced, although some speculate that a sequel to the Detective Pikachu movie might be announced based on the neon used in the teaser.

When will Pokemon Presents 8.8.2023 kick off in the United States?

We’ll have to get up early, at least on the West Coast, to catch this Pokémon Presents. Below is the schedule for when it will be available in the United States:

  • 9:00 AM ET
  • 8:00 AM CT
  • 6:00 AM PT

What can we expect from Pokémon Presents 8.8.2023?

This Pokémon Presents will be special because it will take place just a few days before the Pokémon World Championship 2023 in Yokohama, Japan, an event that will feature not only a competition between trainers from different games in the franchise, but also some previews of the games. This time, we could expect new details on some of the announcements from the lastest Nintendo Direct. A definite date for the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet expansions, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, or, if we can ask for much, more details on Detective Pikachu Returns, which is known to be coming out on October 6 this year. From there, let’s dream: Black and White Remakes? A new Mystery Dungeon? Let the hype begin.
