Prime Video

One of Tolkien’s most important characters returns in The Rings of Power

The second season of Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series wrapped filming in May after moving production from New Zealand to the United Kingdom.

Update:
Celeborn - El Señor de los Anillos, interpretado por Marton Csokas

New news from Middle-earth. No, we are not talking about the premiere date of the second season of the Prime Video series, but we are slowly starting to discover the new characters that will appear in this second season and who will be responsible for bringing them to life, or in this case, back to life.

The reports of his death are greatly exaggerated

For those of you who have seen the first season, you will remember a very special passage. It is a conversation between the Elf Galadriel and the Human Theo. In their conversation, Galadriel confesses to Theo that she has lost much in the war, not only because of her brother Finrod, but also because of her husband Celeborn, who went to war against Morgoth and never returned. And here is the key, because not returning from the war does not mean that she has died, in fact, not even the elf herself refers to her death. And now we know why, because thanks to a little leak, we know that the actor who will play Celeborn has been cast.

It is British actor Calam Lynch, and one of the reasons Amazon chose him to bring Celeborn to life is his physical resemblance to Marton Csokas, the actor who played the character in Peter Jackson’s trilogy. Also his chemistry with Morfydd Clark, the actress currently playing the young Galadriel.

Middle-earth does not dodge the dreaded strikes

Filming on the second season of the Prime Video series wrapped in May without showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay due to the writers’ strike in the United States. The rest of the filming was not affected because, as we mentioned a few days ago, the contracts of the British workers are not covered by US law.

The first season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is now available on Prime Video.
