‘One Piece’ returns after two-week break: when, where to watch and what’s next

After a two-week break, ‘One Piece’ picks up the Egghead arc with peak action.

Monkey D. Luffy and Admiral Kizaru fight outside of the Egghead Island’s high-tech labs in ‘One Piece’ upcoming episodes.
Update:

One Piece picks up again with episode 1134 on Sunday, June 29, 2025, after a scheduled two-week hiatus. You can stream the new installment on Crunchyroll (and Funimation) immediately after it airs in Japan. Here’s everything you need to jump back into the Egghead arc Part 2.

When and where to watch

  • Episode 1134 will air on June 29, 2025 on Crunchyroll at 8:45 AM PT / 11:45 AM ET.
  • Netflix users will have to wait until July 5.

Be ready to jump right back into the action as Luffy faces the island’s lockdown and races to rescue Vegapunk.

Recap of the break: what the manga revealed

SPOILERS AHEAD: While the anime paused, Eiichiro Oda’s manga continued the Egghead arc in Weekly Shonen Jump, and is quite a while ahead, but for the fans that want to know what’s coming, the story should be delving deeper into Dr. Vegapunk’s true ambitions and unveiling the ominous power of Saint Saturn. Key developments include:

  • Vegapunk’s plan to expand the Chiral Network worldwide
  • Saint Saturn’s shocking first appearance—and his threat to Franky and the Straw Hats
  • Clues about the World Government’s next move, setting up high-stakes showdowns

These chapters lay the groundwork for the anime’s next episodes, so manga readers are all set—and anime-only fans will be catching up slowly.

What’s next for the ‘Straw Hats’

Episode 1134 plunges Luffy and crew back into Egghead Island’s chaos. With the break over, expect Egghead arc part 2 to deliver:

  • Intense battles against Admiral Kizaru and Saint Saturn’s elite guards
  • Deeper alliances between Luffy, Vegapunk and Franky’s inventions
  • Early teases of the Final Saga: ancient weapons, the Void Century and the Revolutionary Army’s role

The next episodes will ramp up both the action and the series’ long-term mysteries, bringing the Straw Hats closer to the story’s ultimate showdown.
