Peach takes control in a new game for Nintendo Switch; first trailer
The Nintendo Direct featured several Mario games, but didn’t forget about Peach, the protagonist of the promising game we’ll see next year.
We had a lot of Mario presence in the Nintendo Direct, as we saw the announcements of Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Super Mario RPG Remake, but there’s one very important character from the Mushroom Kingdom that wouldn’t miss the party - Peach! It’s a new Nintendo Switch game that, unlike the others presented today, doesn’t have a release date; it’s coming in 2024, and you can check out its trailer right here below.
Switch 2? Switch Pro? Neither one nor the other, for now
Neither one nor the other, but there are those who are already talking openly about Nintendo’s “next console” and we are not referring to a rumor or a comment from someone without information, but to Yves Guillemot himself, the CEO of Ubisoft. The head of the long-lived French company has admitted that things have not gone entirely well - commercially speaking - for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, the sequel to the title that brought the cute rabbits to the Mushroom Kingdom in 2017.
Guillemot has confessed that it was Nintendo itself that advised him to wait and release the game on the Japanese company’s next console instead of the current one, Nintendo Switch. “We were a bit too early, we should have waited for ,” he says. We do not know if one day we will officially talk about Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch Pro or another platform, but it is a fact that the cycle of the one we have in our hands today is approaching its end after more than 6 years on the market.
The Nintendo Direct may not have brought news of a new console, but it did bring a few surprises:
