Persona 4 Revival now has a release date: its new trailer is a true tribute to nostalgia
SEGA and Atlus have finally set a release date for one of the most anticipated remakes of recent years.
SEGA’s in-house productions continue to roll out at an impressive pace. The next title to join the company’s mid-term roadmap is Persona 4 Revival. This highly anticipated remake has already revealed its release date in a trailer that highlights the major improvements it will introduce. The game will launch on February 18, 2027 for PS5, Xbox, and PC.
Revival isn’t the first Persona remake
Persona 4 Revival draws directly from the Persona 3 remake to bring the fourth installment of the series back into the spotlight, though that remake was not without its critics. Atlus has been working for years to revive the Persona classics and adapt them to current standards. In 2024, Persona 3 returned under the name Persona 3 Reload, though it fell short of being the definitive edition that many fans had hoped for.
On the plus side, it offered the core experience powered by a modern graphics engine, numerous quality-of-life improvements, and new dialogue illustrations. The main issue was the absence of several key pieces of content, some of which were eventually released separately.

Particularly disappointing was the omission of the female protagonist. Persona 3 Portable allowed players to experience the story from a different perspective, with changes to key conversations and situations—an option that Atlus never ended up including, not even as downloadable content. What did eventually arrive, for a fee and months later, was Episode Aegis, the sequel-style chapter that originally debuted in Persona 3 FES during the PlayStation 2 era. Currently, this content is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
