Red Dead Redemption 2 gets a listing on Nintendo Switch

It seems like the original’s rerelease on Switch wasn’t enough, as a new listing for Red Dead Redemption 2 on the hybrid console has been found.

Update:
Red Dead Redemption 2

At the moment nothing is confirmed about a hypothetical version of Red Dead Redemption 2 for Nintendo Switch. Rockstar Games’ open-world game has been released on numerous platforms, but Nintendo’s console isn’t one of them. However, as was discovered by an user on Twitter, the organization that rates games by age in Brazil has registered a version for the hybrid console.

Does this mean that Red Dead Redemption 2 is planned for Nintendo Switch? The registration of the PS4 and Xbox One versions was carried out on 09/12/2018, that is, just a month before its launch on said platforms. As for the supposed Switch version, everything seems to indicate that it was classified recently, although it is not entirely clear.

The first delivery of Red Dead Redemption was re-released on PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch just a few weeks ago.

What about the native versions of Xbox Series X/S and PS5?

The rumor that Rockstar Games worked on a native version of Red Dead Redemption 2 for next-gen consoles was quite popular for a long time. The leak occurred years ago, but an internal Xbox email has confirmed that this native adaptation was indeed underway. Be that as it may, some leaks suggested that the studio changed its plans, halted development and reinvested all its resources in working on GTA VI, the long-awaited new installment of the saga.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most highly awarded video games from Rockstar Games and on MeriStation we called it a masterpiece: “It is not perfect, but that imperfection is what makes us put our feet on the ground to understand that ceilings are meant to be beaten, and Rockstar has done it.” The game is available on PC PS4, Xbox One, and PC —on Xbox Series X/S and PS5, it works through backward compatibility.
