Red Dead Redemption for PC leaked on PS Store: what it includes and what are the new features

Rockstar Games has not yet officially announced the game, but the description - now deleted - details some of its features.

Red Dead Redemption

Nintendo Switch and PS4 received a port of Red Dead Redemption in 2023, but Rockstar Games once again bypassed the PC. It has not been available for compatibles, neither in its original release nor in the most modern adaptations, something that seems to change very soon. After many rumors, the existence of the game has leaked out in a rather strange way, through the video game’s UK page on the PlayStation Store. The message no longer appears in the description, but Eurogamer was able to capture it before it was deleted.

Everything we know about what’s new in Red Dead Redemption on PC

The description reads, “Experience the epic western adventures that defined a generation - now on PC for the first time ever.” It also lists some of the features of this version: “Featuring the complete single-player experiences of both games, including bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition, Red Dead Redemption features all of the 2023 console version upgrades plus PC specific enhancements including support for increased resolutions and framerates, multiple displays, and other accessories, plus spatial surround sound.”

Red Dead Redemption takes place in the final years of the Wild West, an era of cowboys and gunslingers. John Marston, a former member of a band of thieves, embarks on a mission of revenge. He will travel across the United States in search of his former allies, with the goal of making them bite the dust. Along the way, he will face numerous dangers, help people, and build and maintain his own reputation.

Unlike the original game, the sequel was released on PC. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a story-driven prequel in which players can explore John Marston’s past.
