Silent Hill 2 Remake silences rumors: development is going smoothly

According to Bloober Team, everything is going according to the production schedule, asks for patience and reminds that it is up to Konami to decide when to provide information.

Update:
Silent Hill 2 Remake

Nothing can be seen in the steaming fog of the cursed city. When darkness hangs over its abandoned streets, nightmares come to life and monsters lurk like deadly shadows. The same darkness surrounds Silent Hill 2 Remake, the title developed by Bloober Team, the creators of Layers of Fear and The Medium. In the absence of information from Konami, the studio has come out against the rumors and silenced them as quickly as the sword of Pyramid Head, which cuts off heads in the blink of an eye.

In a statement released on social media, the developers are proud to be a part of the plans for the series: “Alongside our partner, we are diligently working to ensure the Silent Hill 2 remake attains the highest quality,” they said.

“On behalf of our development team, we would like to clarify that production is progressing smoothly and in accordance with our schedule. We understand that many players around the world are eagerly anticipating news about the game, and we appreciate your dedication. However, we kindly ask for a bit more patience. Once Konami, as the game’s publisher, shares more information, we are confident that the wait will be worthwhile,” they added.

Will we play as Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 2 Remake?

Silent Hill 2 Remake will follow in the footsteps of the original in terms of story, although Bloober Team has confirmed that Pyramid Head will return “with a special origin story” that players will be able to experience at the controls.

Konami’s plans for Silent Hill include the remake and other original products (Silent Hill F and Silent Hill Townfall). Despite the Silent Hill Short Message leaks, no other projects have been announced. At a recent shareholders meeting, the company mentioned that they are working on remakes (plural), but no further information has been released.
