Spider-Man and Deadpool are joining forces against the Xenomorphs

An upcoming new comic series will pit Marvel’s heroes against the alien menace of the Xenomorphs, with some amazing cover art revealed.

It has been five years since Disney took over 20th Century Fox, thus acquiring the rights to franchises of the caliber of ‘Predator’ and ‘Aliens’. Thus, Marvel not only republished the comics from both sagas prior to this acquisition, but has also been releasing new collections, but until now it had not dared to carry out one of the most surprising crossovers that fans could imagine, even though we had already seen Wolverine in the ‘Predator’ universe.

Thus, Marvel has announced ‘Aliens vs Avengers’, a four-issue collection written by Jonathan Hickman and illustrated by Esad Ribić, in which the quintessential group of superheroes will face an invasion of xenomorphs. Additionally, it will be the first time that Marvel readers discover some of the lore of ‘Aliens’ in the comics, such as the home of the Engineers.

“Probably one of the coolest things about the project is how we’ve found really fun ways to ‘Avengerize’ Aliens and ‘alien-up’ Avengers,” said Hickman, who, as we said, will be in charge of the script. “I think fans will be surprised at how elegantly some of those things fit together. It really turned out to be a chocolate-and-peanut-butter situation.”

Along this announcement, Marvel has revealed some variant covers starring the most iconic heroes of the moment, such as Spider-Man, Deadpool, and She-Hulk, among many others. Check them out below:

The Avengers and Aliens, with a great future also on the big screen

In addition to the comics, we will soon be able to enjoy both ‘Alien Romulus’, the next xenomorph film directed by Fede Álvarez, which includes young talents such as Isabela Merced and Cailee Spaeny in its cast. It will be released this coming summer, specifically on August 16, and for now, its first trailer has allowed us to harbor certain hopes.

On the other hand, we will have to wait much longer to enjoy the fifth installment of ‘The Avengers’, since before we will see the premiere of ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ in February 2025, and it is yet to be confirmed who will be the big villain they face, once Kang the Conqueror - or rather, Jonathan Majors - is officially out of the MCU.
