Starfield will add "new ways of traveling" in 2024
Bethesda, which has just released a new update, confirms improvements and new features starting next year: mods, city maps, and more.
New features are coming to Starfield. Bethesda has turned to the community through Reddit, where it published a message that not only thanks the feedback and comments received, but also confirms more features and lets slip that there will be “new ways to travel” coming soon. The studio is planning a series of changes and improvements that will be introduced gradually and regularly.
“We’ve been hard at work on many of the issues you’ve posted, and expect an update early next year that will include a large number of “in-progress” quest fixes as well as FSR3 and XeSS [technologies that allow us to improve framerate]. Though we fixed several quest issues from occurring, in-progress quest fixes are much harder to fix and we’ve built a new system to correct those without you having to roll back your save.”
According to Bethesda, they are also designing new features such as “city maps, to mod support, to all new ways of traveling.” These improvements will be implemented on a regular basis so that updates will arrive more or less “every six weeks”. The creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim have stressed the need to make these changes safely, so they perform all sorts of tests before implementing “even the smallest change in a game this large and dynamic”.
