Sony has confirmed a new and upcoming State of Play focusing on Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XVI. We’ll answer all your questions about it, when and how to watch it, and what to expect from it.
When is the Final Fantasy XVI State of Play Event?
The event will take place this Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 5:00 PM ET. It will last around 20 minutes according to PlayStation.
How can I watch the Final Fantasy XVI State of Play?
It will be available on the PlayStation YouTube channel and Twitch channel. At the end of the State of Play, you can also find a detailed summary of the announcements and news on MeriStation USA.
What can we expect from the Final Fantasy XVI State of Play?
In Sony’s own words in a post on the PlayStation Blog, they comment that “fans around the world have eagerly awaited details on the game’s dark fantasy setting, the powerful Eikons and the Dominants who house them, and the flashy battle system teased in those early trailers,” this week’s State of Play will delve into that and much more.
It’s a way of closing the loop, as Final Fantasy XVI showed its support for the PlayStation 5 in one of its first showcases, and now that the game is finished, Sony wants to return the favor and give the game a showcase previous to its launch, which is scheduled for June 22, exclusively for PlayStation 5.
It doesn’t look like it’s going to divert attention to anything else, so stay tuned for more announcements.
