Update:

David Corenswet has been preparing to play Superman/Clark Kent in ‘Superman Legacy’, and the results are already beginning to be noticeable. The young American actor will soon begin filming with James Gunn and the rest of the team what will be the first film of the new DC Universe, and to become the Man of Steel the training has to be fully exhaustive. The latest images of Corenswet indicate that he will be in top form at the start of filming, whose date has yet to be confirmed, and in which he will have the difficult mission of making people forget about Henry Cavill’s interpretation.

In this way, these comparative photos, discovered on Reddit, put the Corenswet of May 2023, face to face with an image taken in November 2023, and the change is more than notable in just a few months. The 30-year-old actor shows an imposing physique, much broader, and where he has not neglected a single part of his body, having gained muscle throughout his not-inconsiderable 6′3 feet of height.

When is ‘Superman Legacy’ releasing?

The premiere of ‘Superman Legacy’ is scheduled for August 11, 2025, if no unforeseen event prevents it. As we said before, it will be the first film in James Gunn’s connected DC universe, to which the director wants to relate not only movies, but also series, comics, and video games. This universe will be divided into chapters, the first being Gods and Monsters, and although ‘Superman Legacy’ is his first live-action film, it will not be the first production, since this honor falls to ‘Creature Commandos’, a seven-part animated series that is also written by Gunn.

The director’s plans are still to be defined, since we know that in addition to this, we will have new Batman films (‘The Brave & The Bold’), ‘Supergirl’ -interpreted by Milly Alcock (‘The House of the Dragon’)- and Swamp Thing. In addition, other productions outside the universe, but starring DC characters, will coexist with it, such as ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’, the sequel to ‘The Batman’, again with Robert Pattinson, and The Penguin’ series, with Colin Farrell.
