Take-Two says Grand Theft Auto VI trailer plans are coming “in the fullness of time”
While no date was given for the third trailer, Take-Two confirmed that GTA 6 will ramp up promotion in the coming months.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is just under six months away from its release, and one of the questions the community has been asking most is: When will we get the third trailer? Without a doubt, over the past few months we’ve seen all kinds of speculation that has sparked the wildest conspiracy theories and driven many fans of the game crazy. We expected that Take-Two’s investor call would finally bring us the long-awaited trailer (Spoiler Alert: it didn’t happen), but one thing is clear: the company does plan to reveal more about GTA 6 before its release.
During the fiscal year 2026 earnings call, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick discussed the third trailer for GTA 6. Although he did not provide a release date, he revealed that the marketing campaign will begin this summer. At the same time, he emphasized how important this is to the marketing process, comparing it to the ‘Mission: Impossible’ movies.
“Well, look, I mean, Rockstar is going to talk about all things GTA in the fullness of time,” Zelnick began. “So I can speak conceptually only about the marketing of entertainment properties. And I do think no matter how big a franchise is, the consumers need to engage with that prior to release. And I think the motion picture business reflects that as well. So if you put out a sequel to Mission: Impossible, trust me, the studio is still going to spend a whole lot of money marketing that title, even though we kind of know what we’re going to get and we know we’re going to see Tom Cruise, and we’re thrilled that we will. Marketing is still an important part of any entertainment release.”

During the same presentation, Zelnick confirmed what many had feared: GTA 6 will indeed be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on November 19, 2026. Now the big debate leading up to the start of its pre-order campaign will be what price Take-Two will set for this title. Will it stick to the $70 price point, which is the current industry standard, or will they listen to analysts and set an even higher price? Demand will be high given the anticipation surrounding the game 13 years after its last installment.
