The Dinosaur Hunters are back with Turok Origins, announced during the Game Awards 2024
After decades without a new game, Turok is bringing back its dinosaurs, aliens, nightmare creatures and sci-fi hunters with a new game
The Game Awards 2024 left us with some pretty big announcements, like Intergalactic (Naughty Dog), Okami 2, and a new Elden Ring, but there was still room for a small and unexpected surprise: Turok Origins, the new game in the shooter saga inspired by the comics of the same name. It will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2025. More details will be revealed soon on the game’s official website.
Turok Origins can be played both with friends and alone, since it has a single-player campaign that is defined as “a high-risk adventure.”
If 2024 has been good, 2025 promises even more
This year has been truly spectacular thanks to titles such as Silent Hill 2 Remake, Astro Bot, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Balatro, among others, but 2025 promises even more strong contenders. There is a very clear name that we all have on the agenda: GTA 6, given that the long-awaited Rockstar game is confirmed for launch in the fall of next year.
Long before that, in the first months of 2025, we have Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. Nintendo will also have a very important presence in 2025, since Nintendo Switch 2 seems destined to arrive before summer, and if nothing goes wrong, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond should do the same too.
