Square Enix

The entire Kingdom Hearts franchise now has a release date on Steam

The complete Kingdom Hearts series of games (and cutscene compilations) is releasing on Steam very soon, with a trailer revealing the exact date

Update:
The entire Kingdom Hearts franchise now has a release date on Steam

After years of PC exclusivity in the Epic Games Store, the Kingdom Hearts franchise will be available in full on Steam starting June 13, 2024. Square Enix announced that the popular gaming platform is getting Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind, which can all be purchased separately or together in the Kingdom Hearts Complete Masterpiece collection.

For a long time, Kingdom Hearts fans had to go to multiple systems to enjoy the entire story of the Dark Seeker Saga, something that was highly criticized at the time, as it was disjointed and dispersed with a multitude of games on all types of consoles that expanded and continued the lore one after another. These compilations have helped bring together all the games and put the story of one of the most popular franchises of recent decades in the video game industry at your fingertips.

Kingdom Hearts and its long-awaited arrival on Steam

The work of Tetsuya Nomura was an unbelievably crazy idea that brought together Square (now Square Enix) and the Disney universe, but it ended up working wonderfully and offered us titles of enormous quality and characters full of charisma.

In the Meristation review of the latest installment of the saga so far, Kingdom Hearts III, we stated that “Kingdom Hearts III is essentially the best game in the franchise to date in each and every section. On a technical level it is not only above its predecessors but also practically any JRPG of recent years and artistically it can look up to Persona 5 as the best representative of the genre. A wonderful soundtrack by Yoko Shimomura and her team. An outstanding adventure that has come to remind us why Sora, Riku and Kairi... and Donald, Goofy and Mickey Mouse, of course, are living history of video games.”
