The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom makes it into the top 10 Nintendo Switch sales charts

Nintendo has shared the sales figures for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on Switch, and there’s no denying the game’s success on the console.

It’s been almost three months and we’re still not over it. We are still trying to process the Tears of the Kingdom earthquake. An earthquake that meant a new revolution for the franchise, for the genre, for the industry. One of those events that are hard to forget. And if there were a Richter scale when it comes to sales, Nintendo has just registered the first 10 scale release.

The company has just released the game’s sales figures for the first three months, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has already sold 18.51 million units. With these numbers, we can place it as one of the biggest launches in the history of Nintendo Switch. Along with Animal Crossing: New Horizons, no game had ever sold so much in such a short time on the platform, and it is worth remembering that we are talking about the third best-selling console of all time, the top 10 of which are as follows:
