The Los Angeles Dodgers unveil the cap they will be giving away as part of their Demon Slayer night in August
Breathing technique, home run!
Last week, it was announced that the Los Angeles Dodgers would once again be collaborating with the world of anime, this time with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba being selected as the anime for the upcoming theme night. The event will take place on August 15, between the Dodgers and San Diego Padres game, and the cap that will be given away to attendees at the game has now been revealed.
Through the official Los Angeles Dodgers account on X (formerly Twitter), it was revealed that the first attendees will receive a commemorative cap themed after the team and the anime. It features Tanjiro Kamado on one side, the team logo in the center, and the unmistakable green and black pattern of the anime’s protagonist.
During the match, there will be themed promotions, a special activation in the stadium’s Central Plaza, and a ceremonial first pitch. In addition to all this, there will also be a drone show inspired by the upcoming movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Infinity Castle.
The ongoing collaboration between baseball and anime
This is not the first collaboration between MLB and the world of anime, and it seems that an incredible partnership has been forged this year. It is worth remembering that since March of this year, there has been a collaboration during the games between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo, where anime was present, from a collaboration with Demon Slayer to the presence of Pokémon during the game itself. When the season began, another collaboration that mixed anime and baseball was presented as Heroes of the Game to depict the most iconic moments of the 2025 season as anime.
Kimetsu no Yaiba has not been the only anime to team up with MLB. As on July 3, the Los Angeles Dodgers held their own One Piece Night, giving straw hats to the first 40,000 fans who arrived at the stadium. And well, even the NBA has also their eyes on anime, too.
