007
The new ‘James Bond’ has a clear favorite in the direction and is an expert in war films
The long-awaited new Agent 007 movie is still looking for a director.
‘James Bond’ is one of the most acclaimed and historic franchises in the film industry, and with more than a score of films behind it, the 26th film is eagerly awaited under Eon Productions, which is looking for a director, and there is one name that seems to stand out among the rest, according to The Telegraph: Edward Berger.
The 54-year-old German director has had a long career, but is most recently known for the success of ‘All Quiet On The Western Front’, the film inspired by the novel of the same name by Erich Maria Remarque. It has been three years since the release of the last ‘James Bond’ film, and since then there has been no official confirmation of the future of the franchise.
The future of ‘James Bond’ and a production company that is franchise history
Eon Productions is known for producing the official James Bond franchise, having been involved in all 25 films in the saga, only stepping away for ‘Casino Royale’ (1967) with David Niven and ‘Never Say Never Again’ (1983) with Sean Connery as James Bond.
Who will be the new James Bond? The actor most in the running for the role is Aaron Taylor-Johnson, the 34-year-old Brit who, in the absence of the expected official confirmation, is being taken for granted as the new Agent 007. As for the director, names like Christopher Nolan have been mentioned, but the clear favorite is the aforementioned and acclaimed Edward Berger.
