Following the massive success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, developer Sandfall Interactive has confirmed that they are already working on their next project. While details remain scarce, producer François Meurisse stated in an interview that “There will be another video game, for sure.”
What’s next for Sandfall Interactive?
Meurisse revealed that the studio has great ideas for their next game, though it’s too early to say whether it will be a direct sequel to Expedition 33 or an entirely new IP. Creative director Guillaume Broche is already sketching out concepts, and the team is eager to build on the experience gained from their debut title.
The studio’s first game exceeded expectations, selling millions of copies and earning critical acclaim. With this success, Sandfall Interactive is now in a stronger position to develop their next project more efficiently.
Will it be Expedition 34?
While fans are hoping for a direct sequel, Meurisse remained vague about whether the next game will continue the Expedition 33 story. He emphasized that the team is taking their time to ensure their next project is just as impactful as their first.
