The Sims 4 gets free DLC on Steam for a limited time

Receiving gifts during the holiday season is something normal, and in the world of video games we have had some gifts little by little during these days. This time it was Maxis and Steam’s turn to put on the Santa suit and leave something for fans of The Sims. And with a lot of downloadable content, including kits, expansions and more, having any of it for free is something that is appreciated.

Steam offers this The Sims Stuff Pack for free for a limited time

From today until January 9, 2024 at 9:00 AM ET, Steam is offering The Sims 4 Romantic Garden Stuff Pack completely free of charge. This content pack, launched in 2016, focuses on giving users the necessary elements to create our dream garden with stunning flowers, statues, and arches that will help create a romantic space for your Sims. It also adds a Wishing Well where luck will play a role in granting our Sims wishes, be it wealth, youth or the love of their life if all goes well.

In addition, we can expect beautiful fountains to complete our garden. And of course, we also include costumes and hairstyles for our Sims to be ready for any occasion in these places.

The Sims 4, a free-to-play experience

Things are about to change in the future of The Sims franchise, and one of the first steps that have been taken is to turn the base edition of its fourth installment into a free-to-play title. This step was taken last October 18th on all platforms where the game is available. At the time the studio explained that this decision will make them “more dedicated than ever to creating new and meaningful experiences for the game” as they continue to “develop Sims packs, kits and express releases for the foreseeable future.”
