PlayStation Portal is the final name of Project Q.
Sony has revealed a new line of PlayStation products among which stands out the arrival of PlayStation Portal, the final name of the product previously known as Project Q. It was done so in a post in the PlayStation Blog that highlights the company’s upcoming hardware products related to PlayStation, and PlayStation Portal, its remote gaming device to play PlayStation 5, stands out among them all.
How much will the PlayStation Portal remote cost?
PlayStation Portal will be available later this year for $199.99 in the US, €219.99 in Europe, £199.99 in the UK, and ¥29,980 in Japan. Although the price has already been announced, there is no definite release date, with its publication on the PlayStation Blog indicating that it will arrive “later this year”.

PlayStation Portal puts the PlayStation 5 experience in the palm of your hand. It includes the key features of the DualSense wireless controller, such as adaptive triggers and haptic technology. PS Portal features an 8-inch LCD screen capable of 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second, providing a high-definition experience for PS5 games in a portable form.
PlayStation Portal links remotely to PS5 via a WiFi connection, so you can quickly switch between playing on the console and in PS Portal, and enjoy it anywhere in your home that has an Internet connection. PS Portal lets you play compatible games installed on PlayStation 5 and use the DualSense controller. The device also includes a 3.5 mm audio jack. PS VR2 games that require a headset are not compatible with PS Portal, nor are games streamed via cloud streaming with PlayStation Plus Premium.
