Ultimate Spider-Man surprises with a Peter Parker who obtains his powers at the age of 35

Peter is married to Mary Jane, Uncle Ben is still alive, Matt Murdock is not a lawyer... Big changes in the new Spider-Man universe in the Ultimate line.

Update:
Ultimate Spider-Man

Marvel is not known as the house of ideas for just anything, and once again they have managed to give the origins of Spider-Man a shocking twist. It was with issue #1 of the revived Ultimate series, released today, that we discovered Peter Parker’s new and unprecedented universe.

This is the new Ultimate Universe of Peter Parker/Spider-Man

The main news is that Peter is already 35 years old and married to Mary Jane Watson, with two children, Richard and May. This brings us to the next surprise: Aunt May and Ben Parker are still happily married, and yes, he is not dead. Not only that, but he is a good friend of J. Jonah Jameson, who left the Daily Bugle after Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, took control of the paper.

In addition, Matt Murdock (Daredevil) is not a lawyer, but a priest, and Peter’s relationship with Harry Osborn, despite a few coincidences, is practically null. So how does Peter Parker get his powers to become a 35-year veteran Spider-Man?

In this universe, corrupted by The Maker - an evil version of Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic - has managed to prevent the existence of many of the superheroes we know, something that Tony Stark, referred to here as Iron Lad, will try to avoid. He will travel six months into the past, carrying the spider that should have bitten Parker to give him his powers and suit, and expect to return six months later to find him already transformed into Spider-Man, as well as many other superheroes, to “free the world”.

Thus, Marvel begins a new stage with the Ultimate line, which months ago assured that it would present a completely groundbreaking version of some of its most popular heroes, such as not only Spider-Man, but also Black Panther, the X-Men or the Avengers.
