When does MLB The Show 24 come out? Platforms, cover athletes, and more

Dominican-born Canadian player Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is featured on the cover of MLB The Show 24.

Update:
MLB The Show 24

Yesterday, Tuesday, it was announced the player who will appear on the cover of MLB The Show 24, the baseball simulator that Sony San Diego has been in charge of for years and that will appear again on other platforms. We have seen the saga on non-PlayStation consoles for several seasons now, but it is still surprising considering that we are talking about a game made by a team under the PlayStation Studios label. MLB The Show 24 is coming to PlayStation 5, of course, but also to Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch, being available in the Xbox Game Pass catalog on day one of its release.

Who is the MLB The Show 24 cover athlete?

This season’s cover athlete is Dominican-born Canadian Vladimir Guerrero Jr., coming off a spectacular 22/23 season that earned him second place in MVP voting behind the monstrous Shohei Ohtani. Guerrero Jr. is the fourth player from the Caribbean to be honored to appear on the cover, joining David Ortiz, Jose Bautista, and most recently the controversial Fernando Tatis Jr.

When will MLB The Show 24 be released?

MLB The Show 24 will arrive next March 19, 2024, on the platforms mentioned above, and it is expected that in the coming days, they will reveal more information in terms of gameplay news and game modes.

The future of PS5, today in a new State of Play

Meanwhile, this afternoon at 17:00 ET, we will be able to enjoy a State of Play in which we will discover everything that is coming to PlayStation 5. It will focus on games that will be released this year, so we will surely see games like Stellar Blade, Helldivers 2 or Rise of the Ronin, although surprises like Silent Hill 2 are not ruled out. There have also been leaked games like a new installment of the Metro saga, as well as Judas, the game directed by Ken Levine, the creator of Bioshock.
