When is the premiere of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’? Release date, cast, and trailer

The next Avengers movie is soon to become a reality, so here’s everything we know so far about ‘Doomsday’.

In a surprise move for everyone in attendance (or attention) of the Marvel Studios panel during SDCC 2024, CEO Kevin Feige revealed that they already have a well defined plan for the next couple of avengers films after the whole Kang fiasco crumbled apart. And not only that, but we also learned who’s directing, as well as who the big bad guy of the movies will be… and the one behind the mask.

While not much has been revealed about ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, we did get some information about what when and what we could expect from the next Avengers film and its sequel, which are still planned as a 2 part event. You’ll find all of this below.

When will ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ release in theaters?

As of right now, ‘Avengers: Doomsday is set to premiere in May 2026, although no specific date has been revealed so far. It will be the first part of a two-part story, which will conclude on May 2027 with the release of Avengers: Secret Wars

Who’s in the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ cast?

While we previously heard that the next ‘Avengers’ movie was set to bring back over 60 Marvel superheroes and characters to the big screen at the same time, surpassing the figures of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and its colossal final battle, we don’t yet have a definitive list of actors who will appear in the movie. However, we do know one very important thing: Doctor Doom will be the main villain of both films.

Even more surprising is the fact that the actor chosen to put on the metal mask is none other than Robert Downey Jr., who was revealed during the SDCC panel to be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to embody the character, and not his previous role as Iron Man/Tony Stark. We still don’t know how exactly, but Downey Jr. is back.

Is there a trailer yet?

Unfortunately, other than that there are currently no more details about the upcoming MCU crossover, which means that a trailer is still far away from being released. What we do know is that both of the next Avengers films will be directed by the Russo Brothers, who previously brought us ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and many more of the movies in the first 3 phases of the MCU.
