WOW: Wrath of the Lich King Classic Announces Release Date
All players with an active World of Warcraft subscription will be able to access the most beloved expansion Wrath of the Lich King Classic for free.
One of the most beloved expansions by millions of World of Warcraft players will return very soon, and after being leaked earlier this year, Blizzard finally made official the return of Wrath of the Lich King. And it will be very soon, as it has just been announced, confirming its return for September 26th.
It will do so at 3:00 pm PT and will be available in all realms of World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic. As we said before, Blizzard made it official back in April, and it will be completely free for all players with an active subscription to World of Warcraft.
“The epic moments in Wrath of the Lich King Classic feature vast icy environments, unique dungeons and raids, and a gripping conclusion to the story of Prince Arthas,” said Holly Longdale, World of Warcraft executive producer. “All of this and more made it a favorite of many of our players and us at Blizzard as well. We’re looking forward to providing an authentic experience for returning veterans and an awesome adventure for newcomers exploring Azeroth for the first time.”
A high-flying MMO
Meanwhile, the next - which will be the ninth - expansion of World of Warcraft will arrive at the end of this year, Dragonflight, which went through its alpha testing phase at the beginning of this month. Among its new features is the possibility of riding a dragon, as well as a new level cap (now at 70) and a new talent tree, after being introduced in Cataclysm. Also noteworthy is the arrival of a new hero class, the Dracthyr, and a new class, Evoker.
