Here’s how Team Korea’s roster will look for the 2023 World Baseball Classic held from March 8 to March 21.
Just missing out on the final in each of the last two World Baseball Classics, Team Korea is looking to set that to rights this year. As one of the world’s great baseballing nations, they will feel as if they should be competing for the crown at each event, and this year’s lineup will feature KBO’s MVP Jung-hoo Lee, who is expected to be in the Show in 2023, alongside current MLB infielders Tommy Edman and Ha-Seong Kim.

Japan is still the favorite in Pool B, but Team Korea will like their chances for an upset. They could have used the services of Ji-Man Choi, who was denied permission to participate by the Pirates, a decision that he was vocally critical of. But even without the standout first baseman, Team Korea is still a potent foe for any team in the tournament.
