The opening round of the 2024 WBSC Premier12 is coming towards its conclusion, with Group A qualifiers for the Super Round already decided, while the picture is becoming clearer in Group B.
Thanks to huge victories over the Netherlands and Mexico respectively, Venezuela and the United States finished in the top two qualifying spots in Group A, which was played in Mexico between November 9 and November 14.
The focus is now firmly on Group B, which is being played on the other side of the globe in Taiwan and Japan between November 13 and November 18.

Group B
- Cuba vs Japan at 5:00 a.m. ET at Taipei Tianmu Baseball Stadium, Taipei City
- Chinese Taipei vs Austarlia at 5:30 a.m. ET at Taipei Dome, Taipei
Because of the location, the schedule for Group B is vastly differently than for Group A, with all matches taking place in the early hours of the morning in the United States. There is still all to play for in Group B, although hosts Japan and Chinese Taipei put themselves in pole position to qualify for the Super Round by winning their opening two matches.
