Cal Raleigh didn’t just win the 2025 Home Run Derby – he became the first of his kind
Seattle’s slugger edged Junior Caminero in a dramatic final at Truist Park to clinch the Mariners’ fourth Derby crown.
Cal Raleigh of the Seattle Mariners claimed the 2025 MLB Home Run Derby title at Atlanta’s Truist Park, defeating Dominican standout Junior Caminero of the Tampa Bay Rays in a gripping final.
Known as the “Big Dumper,” Raleigh hit 18 homers in the last round, while Caminero managed 15. With the victory, Raleigh becomes the first catcher ever to win the event.
He now joins three-time champion Ken Griffey Jr. as the only Mariners players to win the Home Run Derby. With this fourth title, Seattle pulls level with the Yankees as the teams with the most Derby victories.
