Justin Verlander has beaten every team in Major League Baseball
New York Mets veteran Justin Verlander became the 21st pitcher to beat all 30 major league teams.
The New York Mets beat the Cincinnati Reds 2-1 in Justin Verlander’s second start with the team this season and that marked another milestone in Verlander’s illustrious career.
With this win, Verlander has become the 21st pitcher to have beaten every major league team. Included on this list are Curt Schilling, Randy Johnson, Bartolo Colón and Zack Greinke.
The three-time Cy Young Award winner threw seven complete innings against Cincinnati, striking out seven while allowing two hits, walking two, and giving up one run.
The veteran pitcher had played twice against the Reds, but had failed to beat them. In 2012, as a member of the Detroit Tigers, he went without a decision after six complete innings and in 2019 he got the loss after surrendering all four runs when Cincinnati beat Houston.

Of these, only Lynn with the Chicago White Sox, Morton with the Atlanta Braves, and Miley with Milwaukee, are still active.
