MLB names Managers of the Year 2024: AL and NL
With the Major League Baseball season now completed, after the Dodgers' World Series crown, now it’s time for the awards.
Major League Baseball wrapped up its season in style with the Los Angeles Dodgers crowned as World Series champions. Now, the spotlight turns to recognizing the year’s standouts in the sport. The winners of the 2024 Rookie of the Year awards have been announced, with Paul Skenes in the National League and Luis Gil in the American League, and attention then turned to those at the front.
It was Stephen Vogt of the Cleveland Guardians and Pat Murphy of the Milwaukee Brewers that were named Managers of the Year in their respective leagues. Both led their teams to division titles during the 2024 MLB season.

Pat Murphy: National League Manager of the Year
Pat Murphy earned the honor after leading the Milwaukee Brewers to the National League Central Division title. To top it off, he guided the team to 93 wins and 69 losses, the third-highest single-season win total in franchise history.
Murphy received 27 first-place votes, surpassing Mike Shildt of the San Diego Padres and Venezuelan Carlos Mendoza of the New York Mets.
Stephen Vogt: American League Manager of the Year
Stephen Vogt led the Cleveland Guardians to the Central Division title in the recently concluded season.
Vogt received 27 first-place votes, finishing ahead of Matt Quatraro of the Kansas City Royals and A.J. Hinch of the Detroit Tigers.
