Not the Yankees or the Dodgers, this is the team with 50 RBIs after 8 games
Despite the new MLB 2025 season having just started, one team leads the way when it comes to runs batted in.

Having just played eight games so far in the new MLB season, the Chicago Cubs are 4-4 and sit in second place in the National Central League.
The Cubs started the new season in Japan as part of the Tokyo Series falling in back-to-back games against the LA Dodgers whilst the regular season has seen the Cubs hit the road with games in Arizona and the relocated A’s who are currently playing in Sacramento prior to becoming the Las Vegas A’s.
After Monday’s whitewash against the A’s with the Cubs romping to an 18-3 win which sees the A’s remain winless ahead of the final game on Wednesday, Tuesday’s scoreline of 7-4 was a little more respectable.

For the Cubs, Justin Steele carried a lead into the seventh inning, Kyle Tucker and Seiya Suzuki homered.
Tucker scored three times and Suzuki drove in three runs with his homer for the Cubs, who opened Sutter Health Park as a major league venue on Monday night with an 18-3 romp. Steele (2-1) gave up four runs on seven hits and a walk, striking out six, in 6 2/3 innings.

Brent Rooker and Shea Langeliers each hit two-run homers for the A’s. Starter Luis Severino settled down after a shaky start to get through six innings. He was charged with six runs (five earned) on six hits; he walked three and struck out six.
In the runs batted in ranking for the season so far, the Cubs lead they way with 50 ahead of the Yankees and Dodgers on 38 and 37 respectively.
