When is the 2024 Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania?

The iconic youth sports event returns, welcoming 20 teams from around the world - all competing for the chance to be named World Series champion.

It’s that time of year again - the Little League World Series is back. The annual tournament, celebrating its 77th edition, features the 10 US regional tournament winners on one side of the bracket and 10 international teams on the other side.

The best young baseball players aged from 10-12 will be suiting up for the competition which will be played at at Howard J. Lamade Stadium and Volunteer Stadium, with 38 games lined up over 11 days in August.

When does the 2024 Little League World Series start?

The region tournaments began on Thursday 1 August and run until Friday 9 August. The Little League World Series starts on Wednesday 14 August and concludes on Sunday 25 August.

The Little League Baseball World Series will begin with games on both the US and international sides of the bracket on Wednesday 14 August. We already know some of the first games in the upper part of both brackets.

MLB Little League Classic on 18 August

Games in the US bracket programmed for Sunday 18 August at Howard J. Lamade Stadium will start at the earlier times of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m with international games scheduled for 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Volunteer stadium.

The reason for the change in schedule is so that fans can enjoy all four games as well as the seventh edition of the MLB Little League Classic, which this year sees the New York Yankees take on the Detroit Tigers in a game played in front of Little League Baseball World Series players, coaches and their families as well as local fans.

The MLB Little League Classic will take place at Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport, PA on Sunday 18 August at 7 p.m. ET and will air on ESPN.
